Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVS ICU) and Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Visiting Rules

Dear Patient Relatives,

Family visitation is important to our institution, as it can have a positive impact on our patients' recovery process. First of all, we would like to thank you for your support during this time. Our shared goal is to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of medical care and are discharged from our hospital in good health.

To support both our patients and our healthcare team, we kindly ask for your cooperation by observing the following guidelines:

• As a general policy, visitors are not permitted in the Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVS ICU) and the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU). However, with the approval of the attending physician and the knowledge of the ICU charge nurse, visitors may be exceptionally permitted for patients deemed appropriate by the physician. In such cases, one (1) visitor is allowed to visit the patient between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM for a maximum of 15 minutes.
• If you have any chronic illness, are susceptible to infections, or are experiencing fever, flu-like symptoms, or any other signs of illness, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting your patient.
• Please perform hand hygiene before entering and upon leaving the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Before your visit, a member of our healthcare team will provide you with a brief orientation on the ICU visiting procedures and infection prevention measures.
• Information regarding the patient's medical condition will be provided by the attending physician to the patient's first-degree relatives and/or other designated family members, with the patient's consent taking priority whenever applicable. Family members are not routinely updated on Sundays.
• Please ensure that your visit is conducted in a quiet and respectful manner so as not to disturb the peace and recovery of patients.
• Please avoid displaying strong emotions or behaviors that may cause distress or anxiety to the patient during your visit.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Visiting Rules

Family visitation is important to our institution, as it can have a positive impact on our patients' recovery process. First of all, we would like to thank you for your support during this time. Our shared goal is to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of medical care and are discharged from our hospital in good health.

To support both our patients and our healthcare team, we kindly ask for your cooperation by observing the following guidelines:

• With the approval of the attending physician and the knowledge of the NICU charge nurse, mothers are permitted to visit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM for up to one (1) hour.
• Fathers are permitted to visit only on Wednesdays and Sundays. Visits take place at 12:30 PM and are limited to ten (10) minutes. Father visits are not permitted on any other days.
• If you have any chronic illness, are susceptible to infections, or are experiencing fever, flu-like symptoms, or any other signs of illness, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting your baby.
• Please perform hand hygiene before entering and upon leaving the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Before your visit, a member of our healthcare team will provide you with a brief orientation.
• Information regarding the patient's medical condition will be provided by the attending physician to the patient's first-degree relatives and/or other designated family members.
• Please ensure that your visit is conducted in a quiet and respectful manner so as not to disturb the peace and recovery of patients.

However, with the approval of the attending physician and the knowledge of the ICU charge nurse, visitors may be exceptionally permitted for patients deemed appropriate by the physician.
