Prof. Dr. Cemal TUNCER

About

Prof. Dr. Cemal Tuncer is a highly experienced cardiologist with more than three decades of clinical, academic, and administrative expertise in cardiovascular medicine. After graduating from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University, he completed his cardiology specialty training at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine and further advanced his academic career through postgraduate studies at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine.

Throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Tuncer has developed extensive expertise in interventional cardiology, including the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart attacks, coronary angiography, and stent procedures. His clinical practice also encompasses hypertension, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, valvular heart diseases, cardiomyopathies, peripheral arterial disease, aortic disorders, and other complex cardiovascular conditions.

In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Dr. Tuncer has held numerous academic and leadership positions at major medical institutions, including serving as Head of the Department of Cardiology, Dean’s Office Administrator, Chief Physician, and Vice Rector. He has also played an active role in professional cardiology organizations, contributing to physician training, certification processes, and the advancement of cardiovascular care standards in Türkiye.

Prof. Dr. Tuncer is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include coronary artery disease, interventional cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, vascular disorders, and cardiovascular risk factors. Combining evidence-based medicine with extensive clinical experience, he currently provides comprehensive cardiology services at Özel Şadiye - Yaşar Cimilli LÖSANTE Medical Center.
